About Our Breastfeeding Specialist

In April 2015 Malka made Aliyah from New Jersey to start her new private practice as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. Malka’s goal is to correct and resolve maternal problems and infant problems with breastfeeding. She has always been passionate about nutrition and helping mothers learn new techniques to ensure proper infant nutrition.
Malka has been a Registered Dietitian and Lactation Consultant for 25+ years for pregnant women and newborn infants in a private clinic in the USA and in private practice in Israel. Malka has also volunteered at a major medical center in Jerusalem as a breast feeding specialist.
Since 1996 to the present, Malka’s lactation experience has included consulting with mothers regarding breastfeeding issues with newborns, and training mothers in effective techniques to ensure proper pre-natal, maternal, and infant nutrition. Some of the maternal problems included: inverted nipples, damaged nipples, low milk production, engorgement, mastitis, pumping and storage of human milk, use of breastfeeding equipment (shells, shields, flanges, supplemental nursing system, etc.). Some of the infant problems included: inappropriate latch-on, reverse tongue reflex, short frenulum, poor suck and swallowing difficulties, poor growth and development.
Currently, Malka completed a Lactation Education Resources Program from 2015 through May, 2016, entitled: Lactation Consultant Training Program Enriched and received her credentials as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners in June, 2016.
